Solar - Wind Hybrid Micro-grids commissioned and in operation in Ghana, April-May 2016
TTA has completed for the World Bank under the Ghana Energy Development and Access Project (GEDAP) the implementation on a turn-key basis of 5 micro-grids in 4 island villages of Volta Lake in central Ghana. These micro- grids were commissioned and put in service in May 2016. TTA will be providing operation & maintenance services for 2 years until 2018.
Indeed, at the commissioning of the micro-grid in Pediatorkope at the end of April, a guided visit took place by Christoph Peters and Robert Olagorta of TTA and an engineer from GEDAP, Ministry of Power, to energy experts of the West and Central African EU Delegations.
